SIA Blended Scotch Whisky is a thoughtful, modern Scotch from a remarkable founding story — created in 2013 by Carin Luna-Ostaseski, a former web designer who became the first Hispanic woman to launch a Scotch whisky brand. Blended, matured, and bottled by the legendary Douglas Laing & Co., SIA represents a refreshingly approachable take on the Scotch category designed for new whisky drinkers and seasoned fans alike. The blend is precisely composed: 50% Speyside, 40% Highlands, 10% Islay — with Teaninich as one of the lead malts and a 40% malt / 60% grain ratio. The pour shows a brilliant honey-gold hue. The nose opens with honey, dried orchard fruit, buttery toffee, vanilla cupcakes, banana taffy, and graham crackers — sweet, gentle, and inviting. On the palate, expect a buttery toffee body, orchard and tropical fruit, a hint of smoke, and dominant vanilla character. The finish is long and gentle with subtle peppery spice.
