J De Villebois Sancerre Rose 750ml

From J De Villebois, a respected Sancerre producer, this rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown on the chalky limestone and flinty silex soils of the eastern Loire Valley. Sancerre Rosé is a niche category — most Sancerre is white — and pinot-based pink wines from this terroir have a distinctive precision unlike Provençal rosé.

Pale salmon in the glass, with bright red-berry fruit (strawberry, raspberry), delicate floral notes and the unmistakable Sancerre minerality on a crisp, dry finish. 750ml. Serve well chilled (8-10°C). Excellent as an aperitif, with grilled salmon, charcuterie, sushi, ratatouille or fresh goat cheese.
